Folds and Cuts

In the entire period of doing the plates, I felt that being non-artistic was difficult..although I can say that it greatly challenged me.

  • Plate No. 2: The Covering
To be honest, I don't cover my books at all because I fail to cut straight ALWAYS. I felt excited about designing the cover because that is my hobby. I design notebooks. :)
  • Plate No. 3: The Doodle
I am amazed with the colorful doodles of my classmates. I ended up doodling too, because I felt writing my name and section won't cost me too much effort. Believe it or not, that was the first doodle of my entire student life. Proud achiever here!
  • Plate No.4: Folding and Cutting the Basics
I saw my sister cutting these kind of shapes last year. I was amazed then, but I thought it was hard so I never attempted to do so. When we were required, I didn't have a choice but to work with the scissors and my folding skills.
a. RECTANGLES are such a love! They're so basic.
b. SQUARES are my favorite since they are so useful!
c. CIRCLES are fun to do. I ended up with a flower on my first attempt. Shush!
d.1 5-POINTED STARS are easy to make also. I like cutting small ones.
d.2 8-POINTED STARS are a bit challenging. I think I developed my skills when I tried to put each star in different colors on top of each other.
d.3 4-POINTED STARS are like twinkle-twinkle in the star. They are so easy to make but very cute!
  • Plate No. 5: Expanding, LEVELED UP!
a. EXPANDING RECTANGLES are so hard to fit in the drawing book. @@ But I managed.
b. EXPANDING SQUARES are amazing. I felt so careful cutting the thin strips!
c. EXPANDING CIRCLES are more on curves! I thought, if I'm not good at cutting straight...then maybe I can work it out with curves. Somehow, I did my best!

I felt that all of these learnings can be utilized in the future for designs or decorations. These can also serve as an application in real life.

I enjoyed and learned for good!
